Laminations and Core Department
Laminations and Core Department offers and manufactures components used in the power industry for construction of electrical machines, both of large and small output. Details we manufacture are successfully applied both in the renewable energy industry and in the conventional energy industry. We actively support development of wind energy and water energy. Our products are successfully used by the largest world manufacturers of electrical machines.
Products we manufacture comprise as follows:
- round stator and rotor laminations of diameter from 250 mm to 1250 mm,
- segment laminations for electrical machine cores,
- ventilation and end laminations,
- stator and rotor stacked cores for wind generators up to 2 tons in weight.
We apply tooling fabricated by our Tools and Device Department for manufacture of electrical machine core laminations. This ensures product repeatability and application of the highest standards of lamination manufacture. Moreover, we are open to application of existing tooling owned by our customers.
Our Department’s facilities also comprise state-of-the-art machines for laser cutting of laminations. They ensure high quality of details cut and fast retooling capability. Application of this technology is an ideal solution for prototype or small-scale manufacture.
We employ highly skilled engineers and software developers whose objective is working towards the best solutions for our customers. We put special emphasis on the optimal use of material and preparation of the manufacture process which guarantees the highest quality of our products. Within the scope of our services, we offer manufacture of the said products both based upon documentation supplied by our customers as well as structural drawings prepared by our technical services.
The range of offered services comprises:
- sheet punching on the SCHULER and HEILBRONN press machines of 4000 kN (3 machines) and 2500 kN (1 machine) shearing force with an automatic feeding of steel from the coil. Our Department is also equipped with manually operated press machines of 1600 kN and 1000 kN shearing force. These machines are primarily used for manufacture of complete stator, rotor and pole laminations for electrical machines. The thickness of punched laminations varies between 0.35 and 2.0 mm,
- laser cutting of stator, rotor and rotor rim plates up to maximum plate thickness of 15 mm on TRUMPF laser cutting machines with working table dimensions 3 x 1.5 m (2 machines) and 4 x 2 m (1 machine),
- notching of round laminations on the MUELLER-WEINGARTEN notching tandem (1 machine),
- notching of round laminations on the automatic SCHULER and MUELLER-WEINGARTEN presses (7 machines),
- deburring of laminations after punching (5 machines, including 3 GRINDINGMASTER deburring machines),
- varnishing of laminations after punching and deburring (4 lines, including 3 HYMMEN varnishing machines),
- manufacturing of ventilation sheets using spot and projection welding technologies,
- regeneration of laminations,
- stacking of stator, rotor and pole stacked cores for electrical machines.
